Eye Boutique Accepts Vision Insurance from UnitedHealthCare
Our eye doctors take UnitedHealthCare Vision plans at all our locations. Whether you have UHC vision coverage as an individual, family, or through your employer's group plan, you're covered at Eye Boutique.
We offer free benefit checks for UHC Vision members. Just visit one of our stores or call and we'll check your plan and explain in plain language what's covered. You don't even need a printed vision benefits ID card.
We'll help you get the most from your UnitedHealthCare Vision benefits
UnitedHealthCare’s vision plans typically include coverage for exams, lenses, frames and contact lenses. Because insurance plans are always subject to change, we’ll verify everything your plan covers and help you identify ways to maximize the benefits for you and your family.
We work with vision insurance companies all the time, and understand the different strategies they employ to keep their own costs down. Take advantage of our expertise and let us show you the best way to get the eye care and eyewear you need while taking the least from your own pocket.
What does UnitedHealthCare Vision cover?
This list of UnitedHealthCare Vision benefits may not match your specific plan. Copays may apply. Please contact Eye Boutique for a free insurance check to find out your plan’s coverage and out-of-pocket cost details.
Our eye doctors accept UHC Vision insurance at 6 Chicago-area vision care centers.
Typically, UHC Vision covers:
- Eye exams
- Glasses (frames and optical lenses)
- Contact lenses (instead of glasses)
- Scratch-resistant lens coating (covered in full for glasses bought through in-network providers)
Polycarbonate lenses are also covered for dependent minors. Frame coverage is provided with a frame allowance you can apply to the frames of your choice.
According to the UHC website, if your UHC Vision plan includes optional contact lens benefits, the contact lens fitting, contact lens purchases and follow-up visits are also covered.
Does UnitedHealthCare Vision cover sunglasses?
UHC Vision plans don’t cover sunglasses, but members can take advantage of discounts on non-prescription sunglasses.
We have a great selection of prescription and non-corrective sunglasses at our stores.
What’s the deal with UnitedHealthCare Vision and Spectera?
UnitedHealthCare owns and operates the Spectera Eyecare Network, which means any provider who takes Spectera also accepts UnitedHealthCare Vision.
All Eye Boutique stores take both Spectera and UHC Vision, so no matter which plan you have, we’ve got you covered.
